Hip Hop for Malawi

Come and enjoy a night of quality Sydney hip hop whilst raising money for those in need in Malawi. Malawi is one of Africa’s poorest countries, and all proceeds from the night will go directly towards projects run by Ripple Africa including health care, access to schools programs, sustainable cookware, fishing and environmental projects. 

True Vibenation's Moody and VULI will be showcasing their solo projects.

Songwriter, instrumentalist and producer Moody fuses traditional African drumming with hip hop. Alongside his skills with the trumpet he creates a unique sound that makes you want to move.

VULI is a producer, performer, DJ, Saxophonist and designer based in inner west Sydney. VULIs sound blends a range of his musical influences -Bringing organic Afro rhythms; Bass heavy beats and electronic production with a soulful twist together to create a distinctly international sound. VULI has released music and toured with his band True Vibenation around Australia and internationally, including a recent tour through Europe playing Glastonbury as well as touring southern Africa.

Newly formed crew Bomb Threat will get you jumping with MPC magic from veteran Caustic Yoda, combined with the skillful flows of Mikeon. Vocalist Aisha complements with some sweet vocals.

Madame Wu & Elise Graham will bring some energy with their last Australian show for a while as Elise heads overseas, first stop Malawi. The pair have graced the Sydney hip hop scene for years now with their hard hitting flows intertwined with smooth hooks.
