A brand new monthly Thursday night party brought to you by your favourite hooligans over at BIG VILLAGE RECORDS! The title is a clever word play on the fact that Newtown has always been the spiritual if not physical home of all the members of the Big Village crew while also letting you know what will be cranked to the max while resident deejays Migz and the 26th Letter are delivering to you those future sounds of everything from Boom Bap, Dub, G-Funk, Soul to Future Beat. Blending in bass heavy, soulfully conscious modern Hip Hop, while retaining the up-beat positive ethos of the old school.
Hosted by two of the best freestyle emcees in the game, Rapaport and P-Smurf, you can be sure the night will be filled with unexpected lyrical dopeness. 

Each night will also feature one act from the BV roster and expended family.  This month the Big Village monthly Hip Hop marathon Home Bass, continues in September with 

Elefant Traks favourite new DJ/producer Jayteehazard. Paving his way through the Australian scene with his crew The Last Kinection, Jayteehazard released his debut solo EP ‘Cold Blue’ mid 2014. Signalling the return of Jayteehazard’s hard-hitting percussion, hooky vocal chops and soaring arpeggiated synths, expertly glued together by glorious and booming sub-sonics, his second EP ‘ Red Shift’ has put him on the radar of international tastemakers and blogs, while making waves throughout the local scene.

Joining him on the night we have an extremely talented up n coming Sydney artist by the name of Billy Green. From turning heads while hosting the Jazz Hip Hop Freestyle Sessions, to burning a verse on Sydney V Everybody, Billy Green is set to showcase his original heartfelt style of live, up-beat boom-bap to the Home Bass audience.

They will be bringing Thursday nights back with Home Bass continuing on the 3rd Thursday of every month.
