JUZZLIKEDAT //
JUZZLIKEDAT grew up in a musical family. From a young age he taught himself to play bass and drums. At 16 years old he was a keen collector of wax and could only afford one turntable and a mixer. Witnessing the evolution of Hip Hop, his passion for Funk and Jazz inspired him to travel through the many era’s of black music from the late 60′s to more recent digital sounds. Today Juzzlikedat sells records from his Funky hair salon in Surry Hills ‘Le Garage’, trying to cover the different eras of the Soul Jazz Funk and Hip Hop but also the Afrobeat and Brazilian sounds from the 70′s and 80′s.
As a DJ he has been spinning records in Sydney for over 10 years and played at mad parties and festivals like ‘Playground Weekender’ and ‘Peats Ridge Festival’ further represented by Mama Feel Good Funk Collective, The Groove Dealers, Soul of Sydney, Syd Def Jam and Funkdafied events. ADVERSE //
His unique mixing style and charismatic showmanship have distinguished Adverse (SYD) as a Music Trendsetter and favoured Party Rocker! From 2000 – 2004 Adverse (SYD) was responsible for putting the much sort after local mixtapes “4 Da Ladies, 4 Da Gents” series into the CD players of many Hip Hop & RnB lovers, but not without the hard work, self-discipline and strong personal ethics. Self-taught the art of mixing 80s and 90s Hip Hop & RnB, it was no coincidence that DJ Adverse (SYD) devoted his time and efforts to what started out as a hobby to being a true enthusiast to Hip Hop music culture. Aside from his duties as one of the original’s of local north shore Sydney radio station Triple H FM , Adverse (SYD) was swiftly put on the frontline of the mainstream of Dj-ing throughout Sydney in the early 2000′s. Playing at some of Sydney’s most popular night spots at the time Inc The Cave, Metropolis, MTV lair, Shark hotel & Star bar to name a few. He expanded his talents and became 1 of Australia’s leading MC’s for Booty Bar Australia which took him touring across the country with Booty Bar founder and Accredited ARIA award winner Dj Lenno for 2 years.
It was at this point that Adverse (SYD) met MC Noodlez (SYD) and became a founding member of Sydney up and coming independent urban label “The Groovedealers.” Under “The Groovedealers” banner, Adverse helped Noodlez form and write music for Sydney Hip Hop Trio “UNISON”, which took them across the state (NSW) to perform and promote, leading them to 1200 downloads of their debut EP. 3 tracks that “Adverse” appeared on from the EP featured on Triple J Unearthed for 4 consecutive weeks at the number 1, 2 and 3 position on the Hip Hop charts and also retaining itself in the top 20 for several months. This achievement combined with his successes with producing and performing with Australian Hip Hop Groups LP & The Architects and working closely with Mc Noodlez over the last 5 years shows that he is no stranger to connecting with an audience. Armed with over a decade of experience in the nightlife business, highly respected and loved by all who know him, Adverse has established close relationships with some of the country’s most notable and renowned DJ talents, artists and promoters.
His style is limitless with an enormous bound of continuous energy. It’s HIP HOP/Afro Inspired Music, with a lot of different twists. Nothings ever set or the same when he’s on the decks, the music is always freshly delivered. You can catch Adverse currently rocking local night spots and working on new material with Noodlez under the “The Groovedealers” and its sure to impress all that follow.

NICK CARATGOLD //
After getting busy as an Mc back in the early 2000′s in and around Canberra ACT my crew at the time ALIKEMINDS supported any and all big hiphop acts that came to town (Jungle Brothers, Braintax/Mystro, Bliss & Esso, Lyrical Commission the list goe’s on) With some of the most raw and talented Mc’s around such as Anton, Audible and the new renown Maggot Mouf (Broken Tooth Melbourne) and Canberra’s very own Dj Buick 3x DMC Champ, we tore up the local Battle scenes and generally represented. Sadly people had to go places and the crew never released any official EP. But the name Caratgold continued as a passionate producer and part time Mc. Now residing in Sydney i carry the torch forward as a local Soul/Funk/HipHop Dj and Beatmaker.

JAYO //
Originally from the far south coast of NSW, Jayo has no formal musical training with the exception of Blues guitar as a young kid after which he immersed himself in hip hop, funk, soul and reggae.
In his teens, he moved to Canberra and soon started DJing and putting on parties throughout the city. Some years after becoming a father to twins, music continued to call on him putting together a popular monthly reggae/dub party which evolved into a 12 piece hip hop, funk and dub band called ‘The Rock Steady’.
The Rock Steady gave Jayo the opportunity to focus on production and live performances throughout the Canberra festival circuit. With a production foundation influenced by the ideas and techniques of the great Dub engineers and motivated by Hip Hop’s innovation, raw skills and style, he treats sampling as a chance to create something new whilst paying homage to the past.
Several extended stays abroad in the USA, UK, Europe and the South & West Pacific have greatly inspired and improved his musical ideas, knowledge and collection.
As both a DJ and producer, Jayo has had the opportunity to support respected artists such as Katalyst, Hau, Hermitude, Oddisee, Houseshoes, Blu (Blue & Exile), Sidestepper (Colombia), The Red Eyes, Kingfisha, Lotek, D’opus & Roshambo, Spit Syndicate and Salmonella Dub amongst others.

DUSTY ALLEN //
Dusty “Roberto” Allen burst onto the scene, like a giant water balloon filled with kebab meat & chilli sauce had erupted, after being dropped from the eiffel tower onto annoying daytime tourists…
What we are trying to say is his beats are fat, hot & explosive… The man knows his funk & old hip hop and isn’t afraid to have a beer while spinnin’ it.
Dusty’s sets are often filled with some of the funkiest shit going round and he never disappoints.
