P.Smurf is hitting the road to celebrate the release of his new single 'Abalone', produced by Melbournes Must Volkoff. A know doubt eventful, six stop east coast tour, coincides with a special home town launch party inside the iconic Sydney institution Hibernian House. The infamous Pyrate House will be housing a beat fueled frenzy featuring music and live art from a the female super collective StayFly Sydney, local OG Jacob Quest, bass demon DJ Migz... and the filthiest man alive, Mr Nasty.

Hitting Katoomba, Melbourne, Brisbane, Townsville, Sydney and Woolongong with an action packed live show featuring his counterpart DJ Cost (NSW DMC Champion 2017). Expect a high grade standard of dopeness from the Sydney duo.

P.smurf has made vital contributions to the Sydney live music scene, as part of Daily Meds, Reverse Polarities and Sketch the Rhyme, for over ten years. Co-founder of Big Village Records, his new single ‘Abalone’ combines P.Smurf’s deft punchlines and intricate lyricism with Melbourne producer Must Volkoff’s boom bap drums and dusty samples. Fusing smooth, unyielding flows with a dark, brooding melody, ‘Abalone’ sets the mood for P.Smurf’s debut solo album, dropping later in 2017 Playing the Blues.

P.Smurf’s charismatic style of socially and politically charged lyrics, delivered with ferocity and percussive flows, have earned him a loyal fanbase. He has released two mixtapes and an EP in the last five years and has toured extensively, as a solo artist and with Daily Meds and Reverse Polarities, across Australia. 

As a founding member of Daily Meds, P. Smurf was integral to their successful release, Happy Daze. The album was shortlisted in the top 9 of the 2012 Australian Music Prize and was FBi‘s Sunsets “Album of the Week”. The single “Insane” was added to Triple J high rotation and the group won Triple J Unearthed’s “Come Together” Festival in 2011.
